The transformative learning experiences at ABCWORKSHOP are designed to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom. Each day is filled with opportunities to experience new educational, social, and emotional situations. Our teachers create a safe and open setting where they can help guide students in exploring the information and the world around them.
We follow a high academic standard as a guide for the creativity and leadership of our teachers. Our objectives are not set in stone, with occasional revisions.
Infants/Toddlers
This curriculum has been designed to foster the development of infants to reach their full potentials of language competence, and to develop their fine and gross motor skills at an early stage. Daily take-home sheets provide essential communication between the staff and parents regarding the infant’s care.
TWOs and THREEs
Twos and Threes are growing and learning new skills daily. Each day children are exposed to developmentally appropriate activities in a variety of areas including fine and gross motor skills, language, thinking, music, dramatic play and exploration. Daily take-home sheets provide parents with information on activities provided each day that can be expanded at home.
K4s/Preschool
Preschool children experience a variety of age appropriate activities in six different centers. Each center includes diffentent interest activities from which children may choose. The program provides a balance of child=directed and teacher-directed activities.
VPK/Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten
Our Pre-Schools are approved VPK Schools by Florida Early Coalition.
Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten is a legislatively mandated program designed to prepare every four year old in Florida for Kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success. The VPK Program gives each child an opportunity to perform better in school and throughout life with quality programs that include high literacy standards, accountability, appropriate curricula, substantial instruction period, manageable class sizes and qualified instructors. All eligible four year olds are entitled to participate in one of the VPK program options.
School-Age Program
After school activities, as well as full time summer/winter/spring camp are offered for school-age children. The school-age childcare programs we consider provide warm, nurturing and safe settings where 5-12 year old children get to do what 5-12 years old children like to do; play games, learn new skills, feel unthreatened and generally unwind from the pressures of the classroom. Computers, Nintendo, X-box are few of the special activities available for school-age children. In addition, homework time is provided. Their schedule during summer and school breaks includes field trips, sports, arts and crafts, and other group activities that are favorites of school-age children.
